About JAPALOOT

Japanese finds. Worth a closer look.

JAPALOOT is an English-language product discovery site for art books and character goods. We help readers understand what an item is, what makes it relevant to their interests, and what to check before ordering.

Our introductions combine facts from identified product sources with our own editorial perspective. We check titles and catalog numbers, explain the format or contents, and keep uncertain details separate. Unless we explicitly describe a hands-on examination, our introductions are based on source information and are not personal product reviews.

Our current catalog links to regular CDJapan product pages. Orders, payment, stock, delivery and returns are handled by the retailer under its own terms. JAPALOOT does not accept orders or ship goods.

We also explain buying considerations and link to official service information in our buying guide. A reference link does not mean that the service stocks the same item or accepts delivery to every destination.

JAPALOOT is independently operated. It is not the official website of CDJapan, Mercari, or the creators and brands discussed here. Our current retailer and reference links are ordinary links, from which JAPALOOT does not earn a commission.

Read our Editorial Policy, Links & Affiliate Disclosure, and Privacy notice to understand how this site works. For corrections and rights enquiries, use the contact details on our Contact page.
