Saved finds
When you save a product, JAPALOOT stores its product identifier in your browser’s local storage. Saved finds stay in that browser; they are not synchronised to an account. You can remove individual saved finds, use the site’s clear-saved control, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Browser restrictions may prevent saves from persisting.
Site features and tracking
This version does not have a user-account system, an on-site contact form, analytics scripts or advertising trackers. Its images, styles and scripts are served with the site rather than embedded from retailer websites. Ordinary external links do not load a retailer’s checkout within JAPALOOT.
When you contact us
If you contact JAPALOOT using the published contact method, your message and the contact details you provide are used to respond to the enquiry or assess a correction or rights concern. Do not include order-payment or delivery-address information; send order enquiries to the retailer handling the purchase.
External websites
Opening a retailer or reference link takes you to another website. That service applies its own privacy practices and may use cookies or account information. Review its policy before using the service. JAPALOOT does not receive your external checkout or payment details through an ordinary link.
For example, CDJapan’s privacy information describes its own handling of customer information. It does not describe JAPALOOT’s handling.
Hosting and technical requests
The public website is configured for hosting on Cloudflare Pages. Requests to the hosted website pass through Cloudflare for content delivery and security. Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses, traffic-routing data and system configuration information. This processing is separate from the product identifiers saved in your browser.
Cloudflare describes its processing of visitors to customer websites and its retention criteria in its Privacy Policy. We do not promise a fixed retention period for Cloudflare-held data or describe the website as collecting no data because it has no analytics scripts.

Use the operator and contact details shown on the About and Contact pages for questions about this site. Changes to hosting, storage, analytics or contact processing require this notice to be reviewed.
